Performance Art in a church setting?

So I've been slightly more involved with the community these days. And by community I mean the church. We're currently working on a big performance art piece in the church. Good Friday is a big thing for people, especially those with "religious" backgrounds. For me it's a life changing story.

We're working on making videos like those by William Kendrige (the South African cartoonist/animation artist) our influence and bringing a message without using words. How can we make this possible?! Well, we've got video, performance and music. This visual picture and the hearing of music and sound effects can really bring to life what is being said. Videos like those by Kendrige really illustrate how emotionally strong his political messages were.

If you have no idea what I am talking about. Go to google and find out more. Or go to some of the youtube samples. Here's one:

In no way we're trying to mimic what he did, but it is an idea of how you can illustrate something without using a pulpuit, a mic and a voice. We'll see how this turns out. Our band at the church is pretty good and will provide live music along with the dramatized performance and the videos will be on the back wall. I am pretty excited about this project. It sounds like we'll use a lot of talent. I love it!
